The entire mobile industry is excited about the upcoming launch of Tecno’s latest flagship phone, the Phantom 6.
Tecno has been tight-lipped about the phone’s specifications and other juicy details, but are here some things we know so far about the Tecno Phantom 6.
1. It’s coming in two versions: Many phone companies such as Apple and Samsung release their flagship phones in two versions, a regular and a big-size model. The Phantom 6 is not different, and a Phantom 6 Plus will also be released alongside the phone. The size of the Phantom 6 is reportedly around 5.5″, with the 6 Plus said to be 5.95″.
2. New levels of security: With the rise of cyber crime and internet hacks, it’s important, now more than ever, that devices be well protected. According to reports, the Phantom 6 comes with an iris scanner, while the Phantom 6 Plus comes with a finger print scanner.
Tecno Phantom 6 specs and rumors
3. State-of-the-art cameras: Even though Tecno has a dedicated line in the Camon series, it hasn’t stopped them from going all out on the Phantom 6. The Phantom 6 reportedly sports an amazing 21-megapixel dual rear camera. Holy. Smokes.
4. USB type-C ports: The Phantom 6 will be the first Tecno devices to not use the USB micro B. Instead they use the smaller, faster and more powerful USB type-C.
5. Price: With the ever-worsening exchange rate, the price for the Phantom 6 is expected to start somewhere around N110,000. The Phantom 6 Plus is also priced around N140,000.

Early iPhone7 and 7Plus buyers seem to be seriously complaining of an audible “hissing” sound when the devices’ A10 processors run into heavy demands.
Stephen Hackett was the first to notice this strange noise and brought the issue to public notice.
Hackett revealed that after calling AppleCare, support staff decided to offer a replacement unit.
Other buyers have since made complaints too.
In the past, it has also been reported that some previous iPhone models have experienced similar issues.
It’s unknown how widespread the current situation is, or which exact components may be responsible.
Last year, Apple had serious issues with the Iphone 6s and 6s Plus, popularly known now to the world as #BendGate.
If this hissing sound now referred to as #HissingGate is common, it could likely show as a defect with the first batch of iphone 7 and 7plus shipped – for which Apple would have to offer a number of free replacements.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were only launched on Friday.

Tim Sherwood has revealed he was surprised was Tottenham sold Nacer Chadli, a player he feels could be the difference for West Brom.
Nacer Chadli’s man-of-the-match display in West Brom’s 4-2 win over West Ham certainly caught the eye of Sherwood, who was impressed with the Belgian during his time in charge at White Hart Lane.
“Nacer Chadli is a fantastic signing, Tony Pulis has done brilliantly to get him to the football club,” Sherwood told Goals on Sunday. “I think he’s a great signing for them, he gives them a little bit of guile.
“I had him at Tottenham, Nacer – he affects the football match, he can assist and he can score and I was very surprised that Tottenham let him go to be perfectly honest."

Buhari, Biafra And The NYSC Scheme – Ojo Maduekwe
It is amusing when President Muhammadu Buhari is described to be a nationalist and, or patriot. Buhari is none of these things but a tribalist whose interest is first and foremost to those belonging to the same Fulani tribe and the Islamic faith like himself. How do I know this? By his words, but most importantly from his actions and sometimes inactions.
Let us leave what transpired between him and a former governor of Oyo State, Lam Adesina – the statement made by Buhari to Adesina that, "Your people are killing my people"; let us leave that in the past and focus on Buhari in 2016. [By the way, everybody needs to read the nationalistic response by Adesina to Buhari.] There is no difference between Buhari then and now.
Buhari of today has continued to expose his true nature and the ideologies that guide his actions, none of which portray him as anything near what his advisers want us to see him as. Recently he told NYSC members of Igbo extraction who visited him in Daura, Katsina State to "Tell your colleagues who want Biafra to forget about it," and referred to Biafra as "wishful thinking."
On it's own, you would think that the president was expressing faith in Nigeria's unity – a unity built on the equality of every Nigerian irrespective of tribe and religion. But when you juxtapose his comment with his actions, you'll understand that Buhari was deriding Nigerians from the Southeast region whom he does not consider to be equals but view as a conquered people.
Buhari betrayed this assertion when he commended former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon for initiating the NYSC scheme in 1973: "I very much appreciate the NYSC scheme and whenever I see General Gowon, I always thank him for that." Which president is it that won't appreciate a scheme that affords him with the subjects to rule and lord over, not to mention one such as Buhari?
Buhari can claim to appreciate Gowon for setting up the NYSC, but he does not appreciate the idea behind the scheme. The idea is to foster unity and entrench a sense of belonging among Nigerians, same objective as the Unity Schools and the Federal Character Principle. In his appointments to key government office's, Buhari disregarded this principle and favoured nepotism. How then does he claim to appreciate the NYSC scheme if he won't allow it's principle guide him in his conduct as president?
How does Buhari claim to want Nigerians to "be together to build this country," yet surround himself with only those from his side of the country; people who share same religion with him? This is doublespeak. Buhari's words does not fit with his actions. This is why agitations will remain and more will arise because Buhari is ruling as if he is a president of the Fulanis' and not the president of Nigeria.
A president of a multi ethnic entity such as Nigeria yet Buhari is quick to express his dislike for a people engaging in peaceful protests to drive home their feeling of marginalization; he will react to this peaceful group by sending the police after them, killing them, but he'll approve government-backed protection for murderous Fulani herdsmen and use our collective wealth to protect their cows from rustlers.
Like I have always argued, there is no wrong in one being a tribalist and working for the interest of their ethnic group and religion; nothing wrong about that. What is wrong is for such a person to be the president of Nigeria; for such a person to claim what he's not and deceive voters because he wants their votes to be president of a country made up of people of diverse faith and ethnic groups. That is a dishonest behaviour.
Truth is, just like I did not buy into the branded lie that Buhari had changed from a dictator to a democrat, I don't see the president now becoming what he is not. The reason why I am painting this picture of him is for the electorates to learn to be more critical and analytical in their choice of a leader; analysing his past so as to be able to predict likely future actions.
Even Buhari himself said not too long ago that we cannot "separate the present from the past." Indeed we have not been able to separate Buhari the dictator and tribalist from this 'new' Buhari that was sold to Nigerians. His words and actions bear us witness that nothing has changed with Buhari and, nothing will. Buhari remains a tribalist and has failed to act like a democrat.

Massimiliano Allegri has called out his Juventus players for being sluggish and complacent in the 2-1 loss to Inter.
The Serie A champions were set to win the Italian derby after a 66th Lichtsteiner goal, only for Inter to battle back.
Goals from Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic condemned Juventus to their first Serie A defeat to Inter since November 2012, and Allegri said he hoped his players would learn from the shock result.
“After taking the lead, we didn’t even hold it for two minutes,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italy.
“We got sluggish and complacent, dropping the intensity levels. This defeat has to burn within us and teach us a real lesson, getting our feet back on the ground.
“It was a dirty game, rough and a real battle. We needed more determination and hunger to bring home the result, especially once we had gone in front."
Allegri opted to leave Juventus’ record signing Gonzalo Higuain out of his starting line-up, favouring Mario Mandzukic, and also played Miralem Pjanic as a deep-lying playmaker, in place of Mario Lemina.
Neither change seemed to have a positive impact but Allegri defended the decisions, saying: “I think Pjanic had an intelligent game in front of the defence.
“Lemina did well for a few games, but don’t forget he only played nine times last season, so we can’t put too much pressure on him.
“The real problem today is that Juventus were bad on a technical level – we gave the ball away cheaply, misplaced passes and above all conceded our third goal of the season on a corner.
“It’s not easy for strikers when the whole team is playing badly. We need to relax, start preparing for the Cagliari game and put together a run of good results.
He added: “It’s not a tragedy. I was worried we’d have such a strong series of early fixtures, but the lads largely did well.
“I think every now and then a defeat like this can do us good, if we are smart and humble enough to learn from it.”

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez, according to the Daily Mirror.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have sent scouts to watch Gimenez, with one present at Atleti's recent victory over PSV in the Champions League.
The Uruguay international has become a key player at the Vicente Calderon Stadium, with manager Diego Simeone plunging him in at the deep end after his arrival from the Uruguayan first division.
Mourinho reportedly wants a partner for Eric Bailly in the centre of United’s defence, believing current first-choice Daley Blind is not a long-term option at the position.
Gimenez, a Uruguay international, has also been linked with Arsenal.
Gimenez was vital to Atletico's success last season, helping the Spanish side to the final of the Champions League and to challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona for the La Liga title.
In 27 La Liga appearances last time round, the 21-year-old helped the Rojiblancos to an impressive 15 clean sheets.

Chelsea are considering a January swoop for Tottenham full-back Ben Davies, according to The Sun.
The Wales international would help the Blues meet their home-grown player quota and would reportedly be available for £20m.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been linked with several British defenders, including Burnley’s Michael Keane and Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson.
Mauricio Pochettino regularly rotates his full-backs, but £20-million-rated Davies is predominantly second choice at White Hart Lane behind Danny Rose.
He put in impressive performances for the Dragons at Euro 2016 as part of a three-man defence – something Conte could utilise in his favoured formation.
League rules state eight home-grown players are required in a matchday squad and Davies fits the bill.
Davies, who moved to north London from South Wales in 2014 for £10m, has made just two appearances for Pochettino’s men so far this season

Man Utd will offer a new contract to Marcus Rashford, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Premier League club are reportedly willing to make Rashford the joint-highest paid teenager in Europe, alongside Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.
United have made it a priority to keep the 18-year-old out of the clutches of European giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
And that means handing Rashford, who hopes to start against Watford today, a bumper pay-rise on top of his current £20,000-a-week wages.
The Wythenshawe-born striker signed a contract in May after an extraordinary rise saw him capped by England. It was a four-year deal, with a further 12-month option that would take him to 2021, including significant annual pay rises.
An Old Trafford insider said: "The club will do everything to make sure Marcus is happy at United. That means talking to him and listening to any problems he may have.
